For checked luggage scenarios or bags that need to survive rough handling, standard non-woven has limitations. It's not designed for the kind of abrasion and impact that checked bags experience. You'll get one trip, maybe two, before showing significant wear.

Here's what I recommend for different scenarios:

Carry-on/cabin use: Standard 70-80 GSM non-woven works great. Light, folds flat, protects contents from dust.

Light checked items: Go with 90-100 GSM and reinforced seams. Will survive a few trips.

Frequent flyer use: Honestly, consider our polyester travel bags instead. Non-woven is better suited for protection and organization rather than as primary luggage.

An airline we work with provides non-woven amenity bags to business class passengers-for pajamas, slippers, etc. Those bags are used once or twice and then typically discarded or repurposed. Perfect application. They're not trying to replace luggage.

A: I'll be honest with you-truly small quantities are challenging for custom non-woven bags. Here's why and what your options are.

Custom printing on non-woven requires setup costs: plate making for screen printing, or film preparation for laminated printing. These fixed costs make orders under 1,000 pieces economically difficult. Our standard MOQ is 3,000 pieces for custom travel bags.

If you need less than 3,000 pieces:

Option 1: Stock bags with stickers or hang tags. We carry plain non-woven travel bags in various colors that you can order in smaller quantities (500+ pieces), then add your branding via sticker or tag. Not as elegant as printed, but functional.

Option 2: Join a group order. Sometimes we combine similar orders from multiple clients to meet minimums. Ask us if there's an upcoming production run you could join.

Option 3: Accept higher per-unit pricing. We can technically run smaller batches, but the per-piece cost increases significantly. A 1,000-piece order might cost 40-50% more per unit than a 5,000-piece order.

Option 4: Sample order. If you're testing a concept before committing to volume, we offer sample runs of 50-100 pieces at premium pricing.

A: This is a legitimate concern that doesn't get asked enough-good question.

Standard polypropylene non-woven can become less flexible in extreme cold. At temperatures below -10°C (14°F), the material stiffens. In very extreme cold (-30°C and below), it can become brittle enough to crack if you fold or stress it sharply.

For clients in cold climates or with cold-chain logistics needs, we offer cold-weather-rated non-woven materials. These use modified PP formulations with better low-temperature flexibility. We've tested these down to -20°C without significant brittleness issues.

A logistics company in Scandinavia uses our bags for airline cargo that sits on cold tarmacs during Nordic winters. They initially had cracking issues with bags from another supplier. We switched them to our cold-weather formulation-no more problems, even in their coldest months.

Practical considerations:
